  Article:   THE PLACE AND THE ROLE OF THE BRA AS SPORT EQUIPMENT.

  Abstract:  The place and the role of the bra as sport equipment. Sport is an activity which can contribute to the developing of the feminity if it is practiced in certain conditions. There has been observed the trend, in the last studies, that the young women athletes don’t like to wear the bra anymore; this fact could have negative effects on practicing the performance sports and the physical exercises. The bra must be present as equipment in sport, because the breast is frequently exposed to various trauma during the sport activities. It is well known that the incidence of benign and even malignant tumors is lower in woman athletes than in non-athletes, but the movements of the breasts and their friction with the clothes, must be avoided, as much as possible. The fastening of the breast on the thorax and its protection against trauma can be done only by a well adapted bra, with certain characteristics.
